The Exploits River Bridge will receive substantial improvements this fall as part of road work taking place throughout Newfoundland & Labrador.

On Aug. 9 a tender had been called to replace decking and railing, and also repair the bridge substructure. The work is scheduled to begin after the annual closure of the Salmonid Interpretation Centre in September. The bridge will remain open for the majority of each day, and any temporary closures will be advertised locally.
