[HALIFAX, NS] — Target has set its target dates for opening its first stores in Nova Scotia.
The American retail chain says new locations at Bedford Place Mall and Bayers Lake will be opening in the fall of 2013. That is the same time period announced previously for the Mic Mac Mall location.
In total, Target will be opening 125 locations across Canada in 2013. The other Nova Scotia location opening next year is at the Sydney Shopping Centre. The opening date for that store is the winter of 2013.
Each location will be undergoing remodeling, a Target release issued Thursday stated, totaling over $10 million countrywide.
The store also estimates it will hire between 150 to 200 employees at each of its new locations.
