[HALIFAX, NS] — Nova Scotia is spending $2.63 million to support research labs and equipment at universities across the province.
The money from the Nova Scotia Research and Innovation Trust will go toward 17 research infrastructure projects.
The province says the money, along with related national funding, will help as many as 300 people with projects over the next five years.
The schools receiving money include: Cape Breton University, Dalhousie University, Saint Mary's University, St. Francis Xavier University and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College.
Some of the research work is focusing on clean technology and innovative medical devices.
